The next events bringing together cinema and TV professionals under the unified Unifrance banner are fast approaching!They will enable our members and, of course, buyers, to get together and talk with industry professionals and all their contacts in one place and at one time.
Unifying time, place and action will increase our international impact and allow you, our contacts on the world markets, to meet us more easily without wasting time.
First up is the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) which takes place during the second half of November. We have never sent a delegation to this festival before, but are rectifying that this year. Our members will be present at the first ever UniFrance Café, a privatized space decked out in our colors in the Het Groene Paleis (Rokin 65, Amsterdam). Perfectly located next to the Forum, from November 20 to 24 this is where we will organize interviews with French professionals, networking activities, and our French Cocktail Party on November 21, 7 to 9pm. You are, of course, cordially invited to join us, so please save the date!
From now until the end of the year, you will also see delegations representing the French TV industry at MIPCancun, WCSFP, ATF and Content London.
Then, in the new year, there will be the Rendez-vous de Paris, one of our most important meet-ups of the year, which will take place from January 11 to 13. For our TV division, this is a first. The first two days of the event (11-12) are dedicated to TV, with the last (13) open to professionals from both the TV and cinema worlds. Cinema professionals will then be able to continue networking among themselves all the way through to January 16.
We will open the doors of the Hôtel Du Collectionneur to you. Over the course of three days, you can meet with French export partners, attend highlights screenings and pitching sessions (animation, drama, documentary, etc.), see presentations of new programs, and participate in networking and meet-up events. These days will offer a key opportunity for dialog between sellers and buyers as well as co-production partners. We will also be organizing our first TV Press Events at the same time as the cinema Press Events, from January 14 to 17.
